“Give a Missed Call for Justice: Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra Rallying Support with 9891802024”

New Delhi – In a development rife with political implications, Rahul Gandhi’s ambitious Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra is set to kick off from Manipur on January 14, albeit with a “limited number of participants.” The Manipur government, after an eight-day deliberation, granted approval for the Hapta Kangjeibung ground as the designated venue for the yatra’s flag-off.
The official order from the Imphal East district magistrate’s office specified, “Only flagging off of the Yatra with a limited number of participants is hereby allowed on January 14 to prevent any untoward incident and disturbance in law and order. The number and name of the participants shall be provided in advance to this office to enable necessary precautionary measures.”
Concerns about potential law and order issues were underscored in the order, citing a report from the Imphal East district superintendent of police predicting a massive crowd during the opening ceremony. The prevailing law and order situation, coupled with the enforcement of Section 144 Cr Pc in Imphal East district, prompted the cautious approach.
Earlier in the day, the Congress had alleged that the Manipur government initially denied permission for the venue. The party labeled the government’s stance as a “violation of people’s rights” but affirmed its determination to commence the yatra from Manipur “at any cost.” This move sets the stage for a potentially contentious start to Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra in Manipur. Stay tuned for updates on this unfolding political saga.
