
Kathmandu, August 7: – Five people were killed in a helicopter crash in Nepal, reports said. Four of the victims were Chinese tourists.
The Air Dynasty helicopter crashed in Nepal’s Nuwakot, carrying at least five people, including the pilot and four passengers. The crash occurred in a forest in the mountains northwest of Nepal’s capital, Kathmandu.
Police recovered five bodies from the crash site in Ward No. 7 of Shivapuri Rural Municipality, Nuwakot, according to a local newspaper report. The Air Dynasty helicopter, 9N-AJD, was en route to Rasuwa from Kathmandu when it crashed. It took off from Kathmandu at 1:54 PM but lost contact just three minutes after takeoff.
Police officials informed media that the bodies of two men, one woman, and the pilot (identified as Arun Malla) were recovered from the accident site. One body remains unidentified, charred beyond recognition, according to news agencies.
This incident follows a recent plane crash near Kathmandu airport that left 18 people dead. In that crash, near Tribhuvan International Airport on July 24, the captain was the sole survivor.
