Hyderabad, October 16: As the protests over the rescheduling of the Group 1 Mains exams and the Government Order (GO) 29 continued in Ashok Nagar, Hyderabad, social media has become a battleground for reactions, particularly targeting Congress leader Rahul Gandhi. The protests have seen a surge in support, with several aspirants raising their voices against what they believe to be an unjust examination process.

Amidst this growing unrest, social media users have taken to platforms like X (formerly Twitter) to share their thoughts, with a particular focus on Rahul Gandhi’s absence from the scene. A user named Venket Rao posted a photo of Rahul Gandhi’s previous visit to Ashok Nagar, captioning it: “@RahulGandhi Ji, Did you forget Ashok Nagar?” The post highlighted the aspirants’ disappointment with the Congress leader’s silence during the ongoing protests.

Another user, Giri Cherkupally, posted a critical comment on X, mocking the Congress leadership while praising Telangana BRS Working President K.T. Rama Rao (KTR) for his proactive support of the aspirants. Giri’s post read: “That’s the spirit of Telangana leadership… 👍. While @RahulGandhi, @kharge, and @priyankagandhi are busy fooling people in other states, our very own KTR Gaaru will still come to your rescue, despite the negativity you spread during the elections and your direct role in the BRS defeat.”

These posts underscore the divide between the Congress and BRS supporters, as well as the mounting pressure on political leaders to address the concerns of the protesting aspirants. KTR’s earlier promise to meet the students at Ashok Nagar or Telangana Bhavan has further fueled discussions online, with many praising his commitment to resolving the issue, while others question Congress’s involvement in addressing the grievances of Telangana’s youth.

The protests, which began over the fairness of the Group 1 Mains examination process and GO 29, continue to gain momentum as more students and supporters join the cause. All eyes are now on how both BRS and Congress will respond to the ongoing crisis, with KTR expected to meet the protesting aspirants in the coming days.
