Hyderabad :- In a recent development, food safety authorities have taken action against Pista House in Uppal following a complaint regarding food quality. Samples of various food items, including Plum Cake, Sponge Cake, and Milk Bread, were collected for testing under the provisions of the Food Safety and Standards Act, 2006 and Rules, 2011.
The complaint, lodged by a customer named Karvendhan, highlighted an alarming issue of a Banana Cake purchased from the establishment being rotten with fungus. This prompted officials to conduct a thorough inspection of the premises, which revealed certain defects.
As a result, a notice has been issued to the management of Pista House, warning them to rectify the identified issues. The samples, including the contaminated Banana Cake, have been forwarded to the State Food Laboratory for analysis.
Assistant Food Controller K. Balaji Raju, in a press note, emphasized the importance of maintaining hygienic conditions in all food-related establishments. He urged all such businesses to adhere strictly to food safety guidelines to ensure the well-being of consumers.
