Congress Vows Inclusive Growth: Shabbir Leads Drive for Pending Projects

Hyderabad :- Mohammed Ali Shabbir, Advisor to the Government of Telangana for SC, ST, BC & Minorities, affirmed the Congress Government’s commitment to expedite projects left stagnant by the previous regime. Shabbir emphasized rapid development for all communities.

After a comprehensive review with officials from the Minorities Welfare Department, Telangana State Wakf Board, and Haj Committee, Shabbir announced plans to revive the long-delayed ‘Garden View Wakf Mall’, pending for 17 years. He highlighted the necessity of completing this project to optimize resources and uplift the community.

Shabbir directed officials to initiate fresh tenders for the mall’s completion, envisioning it as a multifunctional hub catering to diverse needs, including accommodation for Haj pilgrims and student boarding facilities.

Additionally, Shabbir disclosed the release of Rs 7.35 crore as honorarium for 13,735 Imams and Muezzins across Telangana, with arrears set to follow. He assured meticulous arrangements for the upcoming Haj season, catering to the needs of approximately 10,000 pilgrims.

Expressing concern over the state of Wakf properties, Shabbir announced plans for a comprehensive review to safeguard these assets. He criticized the previous administration for neglecting Wakf institutions and pledged to rectify the situation.

Shabbir also outlined efforts to revitalize the Urdu Academy and reinstate Urdu as the second official language in Telangana. He assured Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy’s personal oversight to ensure proper implementation of welfare schemes and timely allocation of funds.

Looking ahead, Shabbir announced detailed review meetings on the welfare of Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, and Minorities following the conclusion of the budget session of the Telangana legislature.
