Hyderabad: – In a surprising move, BRS working president KT Rama Rao (KTR) opted for an autorickshaw for his commute on Saturday after attending a review meeting for the Jubilee Hills Assembly Constituency. Following the session, KTR chose to travel from Yousufguda to the Telangana Bhavan in the autorickshaw, demonstrating a down-to-earth approach.
During the journey, KTR occupied the backseat, accompanied by Jubilee Hills MLA Maganti Gopinath, who sat in the front seat with the driver. Notably, another autorickshaw followed, carrying the security personnel for both KTR and Gopinath. The video capturing this unusual mode of transport has since gone viral.
This move aligns with the BRS’s recent efforts to address the challenges faced by auto drivers in the state. The party has formed a dedicated committee to assess and review the issues arising post the implementation of the free bus ride for women scheme by the State Government. KTR’s choice of an autorickshaw ride serves as a symbolic gesture, bringing attention to the concerns of auto drivers in Telangana.
