New Delhi, August 27, 2023 — Preceding the highly anticipated G20 Summit scheduled to take place in the national capital next month, apprehensions regarding security have heightened. Suspected members of Sikhs For Justice (SFJ), a front for the separatist Khalistan Group, reportedly vandalized over five Metro stations with pro-Khalistan slogans, an official statement disclosed on Sunday.

Photographs released by Delhi Police showcase the Metro station walls adorned with slogans proclaiming “Delhi Banega Khalistan” and “Khalistan Zindabad.” The SFJ shared raw footage depicting the defaced Metro stations, further substantiating the incident.

An official detailed, “Suspected SFJ activists defaced multiple Metro stations in Delhi from Shivaji Park to Punjabi Bagh with pro-Khalistan slogans.

Authorities have confirmed the defacement and affirmed their commitment to pursuing appropriate legal action in response to the incident.

This incident of Metro station defacement arrives as New Delhi currently hosts the B20 Summit India 2023, a three-day gathering commencing on August 25 and concluding on Sunday. The summit has attracted participation from over 1,500 delegates representing 55 nations.

Looking ahead, the national capital is gearing up to welcome as many as 18 heads of state for the forthcoming G20 summit next month. He highlighted a recent incident of a Dalit youth’s death and criticized both the Prime Minister and the Chief Minister for their responses. Kharge expressed confidence in the Congress’s prospects for the upcoming Assembly elections, while the BJP remains determined to maintain its hold on the state.

New Delhi August, 27,2023: Mallikarjun Kharge, the President of the Congress party, asserted on Sunday that the state of Madhya Pradesh, governed by the BJP, has the highest incidence of crimes against Dalits. Kharge went on to predict that the ruling party’s tenure in the state will come to an end during the upcoming Assembly elections. Kharge condemned a recent incident where a Dalit youth was fatally beaten in Madhya Pradesh’s Sagar district. He accused the BJP of transforming the state into a hub of Dalit-related atrocities. According to Kharge, the rate of crimes against Dalits in BJP-ruled Madhya Pradesh is three times higher than the national average.

In a pointed comment directed at Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Kharge remarked that while Modi is involved in the construction of the Sant Ravidas temple in Sagar, he remains conspicuously silent about the ongoing injustices against Dalits and Adivasis in the state.

Kharge also took a swipe at Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, suggesting that his gestures of washing the feet of underprivileged individuals in front of cameras are merely performative. He voiced his confidence that the people of Madhya Pradesh will not succumb to the BJP’s influence and will address the concerns of marginalized sections of society through the electoral process.

As the Assembly elections are slated to take place later this year, the Congress party is optimistic about its chances of unseating the BJP from power, while the BJP remains confident in its ability to retain control over the state.

August 26, 2023: Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s previous assertions regarding the occupation of significant regions in Ladakh by the Chinese army have been directly contradicted by his own statements during the 15th BRICS summit held in Johannesburg, South Africa.

During the summit, Prime Minister Modi engaged in discussions with Chinese President Xi Jinping, focusing on the withdrawal of front-line troops from Depsang Plains and Demchok in eastern Ladakh.

In 2020, when reports emerged of the Chinese army occupying substantial areas in the Ladakh region, Prime Minister Modi had vehemently denied any Chinese incursion.

He had stated, “Neither have they intruded into our border, nor has any post been taken over by them (China). No one can take even an inch of the land.

However, his recent conversation with Xi Jinping, addressing the withdrawal of troops from Depsang Plains and Demchok, has inadvertently revealed that his earlier claims were false and that he was aware of the Chinese presence in those regions.

Ladakh, including the Pangong area, witnessed a grave standoff between the two nations in 2020, resulting in the tragic death of 20 Indian soldiers in the Galwan Valley by the Chinese army. Despite prolonged negotiations leading to partial troop withdrawals by both Indian and Chinese forces from several face-off points along the Line of Actual Control (LAC), including Galwan Valley, northern and southern banks of Pangong Tso, Gogra Post, and Hot Springs, the standoff remains unresolved.

This marks the second time Modi and Xi discussed bilateral relations between New Delhi and Beijing, following aggressive actions by the Chinese People’s Liberation Army (PLA) to alter the status quo along the LAC in eastern Ladakh.

In response to Modi’s admission of his earlier falsehoods, former union Minister Subramanian Swamy has called for an apology to the nation. He tweeted, “Modi must apologize to the nation for telling lies when he told the nation ‘koi aaya nahi..’ .
