Patna, August 30: Celebrating Raksha Bandhan with a remarkable twist, Khan Sir, a well-known online tutor hailing from Patna, achieved a world record as nearly 7,000 students tied rakhis on his wrist. The event unfolded at his coaching center, drawing a crowd of over 10,000 students from various batches.

In a gesture of camaraderie and unity, approximately 7,000 girls adorned Khan Sir’s wrist with rakhis during the organized Raksha Bandhan event. This extraordinary feat is touted as unprecedented, marking a distinctive record.

While the event was attended by numerous students, the immense turnout prevented everyone from participating in the ritual due to the overwhelming numbers. However, Khan Sir made a point to personally interact with each girl, ensuring that their rakhis were tied.

Speaking exclusively to National TV , Khan Sir disclosed that since he doesn’t have a biological sister, he considers these students as his sisters. He emphasized that this tradition of students tying rakhis on his wrist is an annual practice. With confidence, he asserted that no one else globally could boast of such a remarkable number of rakhis.

The event witnessed Khan Sir’s wrist adorned with over 5,000 rakhis, a number projected to reach 7,000 by day’s end. The sheer weight of the rakhis posed a challenge to his wrist’s movement, highlighting the scale of this unique event.

In response, the students present showered Khan Sir with praise, acclaiming him as not only an exceptional teacher and guru but also a cherished brother. They expressed their deep admiration, with some even voicing their intent to continue this ritual of tying rakhis on Khan Sir’s wrist throughout their lives.

Khan Sir expressed that these young women hail from diverse backgrounds, often leaving their families behind to pursue education at his coaching center. Taking on the role of a brother figure, he aims to offer them a sense of familial belonging while striving to guide them toward academic and professional success. Watch

Mysuru, August 30,2023: In a bid to extend financial support to women across India, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has announced the replication of Karnataka’s successful Gruha Lakshmi scheme on a national scale. This announcement came during the launch of the scheme by the Karnataka government in Mysuru.

The Gruha Lakshmi scheme, which allocates Rs 2,000 per month to women who are heads of households, is set to serve as a robust safety net for women across the country. Rahul Gandhi highlighted the innovative governance model being employed in Karnataka, emphasizing the importance of governmental efforts in aiding marginalized sections of society without any discrimination based on factors such as religion, caste, or language.

Gandhi praised the scheme’s significance, terming it as the world’s most substantial cash transfer initiative targeting women. He noted that such extensive support for women is unparalleled globally.

Highlighting the scheme’s remarkable success, Rahul Gandhi recounted how the Union government initially expressed doubts about its feasibility. The Gruha Lakshmi scheme is part of a comprehensive set of guarantees provided by the Congress, with other initiatives such as free bus travel for women (Shakti), free monthly rice for individuals in below poverty line (BPL) families (Anna Bhagya), and free electricity for households (Gruha Jyothi) already in operation. A fifth guarantee, the Yuva Nidhi scheme, aimed at offering unemployment allowances to the youth, is anticipated to be launched in the near future.

Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge lauded the guarantees provided by the Congress-led government in Karnataka, which have garnered attention from leaders of other states who express interest in adopting similar measures.

Chief Minister Siddaramaiah recounted how opposition parties initially dismissed the feasibility of these guarantees before the Assembly polls. Despite these doubts, the government successfully implemented four of the promised guarantees, without compromising on regular schemes or financial stability. The impending launch of Yuva Nidhi is anticipated to further solidify the government’s commitment to social welfare and economic empowerment.

As Karnataka paves the way with its progressive initiatives, Rahul Gandhi’s announcement of scaling up the Gruha Lakshmi scheme is poised to usher in a new era of financial assistance and empowerment for women across India.

Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has echoed the concerns expressed by Mamata Banerjee, indicating that the Lok Sabha elections might be advanced. The move comes amidst growing fears within the BJP that delaying the elections could lead to more significant losses due to the consolidation of opposition forces.

Mr. Nitish Kumar emphasized the need for opposition parties to unite to counter the BJP’s electoral prospects. He stated, “I have been saying it for the last seven-eight months that the NDA government at the Centre might go for early Lok Sabha polls, fearing more loss to the BJP because of opposition unity.

He further highlighted his commitment to facilitating the convergence of opposition parties against the ruling party, stating, “Therefore, all opposition parties must come together to defeat the BJP in the Lok Sabha polls. I am once again repeating that I have no desire for myself, I have no personal ambitions. My only wish is to unite the maximum number of parties (opposed to the BJP) before the elections.

Regarding the ongoing efforts to forge opposition unity, Mr. Kumar revealed that steps had already been taken to foster cooperation among various parties. He anticipated that the opposition coalition “INDIA” would gain further strength following a pivotal meeting scheduled in Mumbai on August 31 and September 1.

The Chief Minister’s remarks came as he inaugurated the new campus of Nalanda Open University. On a different note, he shared insights into the recent completion of a comprehensive caste survey. Once published, this data is expected to guide developmental initiatives and policies aimed at addressing the needs of various marginalized sections of society. Mr. Kumar expressed his belief that other states would follow suit once the detailed data was available.

Highlighting the unanimous decision behind the caste-based survey, Mr. Kumar noted that the initiative had garnered support from leaders across the political spectrum, including those from the BJP. Expressing concern over the delay in the census, he questioned the central government’s silence on the matter and called for clarity on the reasons behind the postponement, citing that the census should have concluded in 2021.

With these statements from Bihar’s Chief Minister, the political landscape in India seems poised for potential shifts as parties strategize in anticipation of the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. The specter of opposition unity and the BJP’s response will likely shape the country’s political narrative in the months to come.

Shameful: 10th student beaten to death in Prayagraj,Uttar Pradesh

0

In a heart-wrenching and deeply alarming incident that has shaken the city of Prayagraj in Uttar Pradesh, a 10th grade student fell victim to a fatal beating, exposing the grim underbelly of unresolved student conflicts. The incident, which occurred on Monday, has raised serious concerns about the safety and well-being of students within educational institutions.

The victim, a 16-year-old boy whose dreams and aspirations were cut short in a cruel twist of fate, had been returning home from his college, accompanied by his cousin sister, a student in the 9th grade of the same institution. What should have been an uneventful journey turned into a nightmare that will forever haunt the memories of those involved.

The tragic event unfolded against the backdrop of a prior conflict between the victim and fellow students hailing from a different community. The details of the disagreement remain murky, but reports suggest that the confrontation had taken place within the college premises itself. Teachers, who are entrusted with the duty of fostering a safe learning environment, had intervened at the time of the clash, seemingly diffusing the tensions that had flared.

Tragically, the intervention of the teachers proved to be insufficient in averting the impending catastrophe. What initially appeared to be a resolution devolved into an unimaginable nightmare, as the victim was subjected to an onslaught of violence that ultimately claimed his life. The brutality of the attack has left the community in shock and mourning, while also reigniting concerns about the adequacy of mechanisms in place to address and manage student disputes.

This incident serves as a stark reminder of the fragile nature of young lives and the pressing need to address conflicts within educational settings in a more comprehensive manner. It highlights the importance of not just mediating disputes but actively fostering an environment that encourages dialogue, tolerance, and empathy. As the city mourns the loss of a promising young life, questions abound about how this tragedy could have been prevented and what steps must be taken to ensure such a devastating incident never repeats itself.

Local authorities are now faced with the daunting task of investigating the circumstances that led to this tragedy and seeking justice for the young victim. The incident stands as a painful testament to the urgent need for systemic change and proactive measures to create a safer environment for students, where conflicts are resolved through peaceful means, sparing them the horrors of violence and loss.

CM Siddaramaiah Poses a Moral Challenge to BJP

0

Bengaluru: In a robust rejoinder to the Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) declaration of compiling a 100-day “charge sheet” detailing the government’s perceived shortcomings, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah denounced the BJP’s moral standing in criticizing the administration’s actions. Addressing the media, CM Siddaramaiah questioned the credibility of those who remained unproductive during their four-year tenure in governance, highlighting their own track record.

The Chief Minister emphasized, “What will those who have contributed nothing to the people’s welfare over four years tell us? They are initiating an inquiry into the scams during their own government’s time. They should provide answers regarding these investigations first.

Siddaramaiah elucidated the ongoing plans to probe scandals that transpired during the BJP’s tenure. He articulated, “We had announced this earlier. Even before taking office, we committed to investigating their scandals. A committee, led by Retired Attorney B Veerappa, will investigate the PSI Scam, while the 40% Scam will be scrutinized by Retired Attorney Nagamohan Das. Additionally, a commission headed by retired Nya Cunha will delve into the Covid-era scam. Where is the hostility in these actions? They align with the state’s best interests.

The Chief Minister underscored the principled stance his government has taken regarding these investigations, reminiscing, “While we were in power, we consistently advocated for inquiries into these matters. This isn’t fueled by animosity; it’s about safeguarding the state’s resources. Didn’t they demand an investigation into the 40 percent scam during their time in power? We raised these demands previously and have now initiated actions to explore these issues.

Regarding speculation surrounding strained relations between himself and the Deputy Chief Minister, Siddaramaiah dismissed the doubts raised by opposition parties, asserting that the more these speculations abound, the stronger their partnership becomes.

In a substantial respite for households across the nation, the Union Cabinet has given the green light to a substantial reduction of Rs 200 in the prices of LPG gas cylinders available to all LPG consumers. Union Minister Anurag Thakur made the announcement during a comprehensive Cabinet briefing, marking a pivotal move in favor of consumers.

During the briefing, Union Minister Anurag Thakur conveyed, “PM Modi has decided Rs 200 reduction in the price of domestic LPG cylinders, for all users…this is a gift from PM Narendra Modi, to the women of the country, during the occasion of Raksha Bandhan.

Following this welcome development, the cost of LPG gas cylinders is anticipated to be around Rs 900 for all consumers and approximately Rs 700 for beneficiaries of the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana (PMUY), commonly known as the Ujjwala scheme.

The endorsement of an additional subsidy amounting to Rs 200 under the Ujjwala Scheme elevates the total subsidy to Rs 400 per cylinder for PMUY beneficiaries.

This commendable move is poised to benefit an estimated 30 crore households across the country. However, the reduction in prices will incur an additional fiscal burden of Rs 7680 crore.

Union Minister Anurag Thakur also revealed that the government has an ambitious plan to provide 75 lakh new LPG connections under the Ujjwala scheme, thereby fortifying the commitment to making clean energy accessible to a broader population.

In a parallel effort to curb inflation ahead of the festive season, the Consumer Affairs Ministry and RBI Governor are scheduled to convene discussions on strategies to mitigate inflationary pressures.

IndiGo Flight Safely Lands in Mumbai Despite Engine Shutdown

In a commendable display of aviation expertise, an IndiGo flight originating from Madurai successfully executed a safe landing at Mumbai airport on Tuesday, even after experiencing an engine shutdown mid-flight.

The incident unfolded smoothly as the Airbus A321, a twin-engine aircraft, adeptly utilized its operational engine to navigate to its destination. The aircraft, bearing the flight number 6E-2012, was en route from Madurai to Mumbai when a technical issue emerged prior to its scheduled landing.

The pilot, displaying exceptional professionalism and ensuring passenger safety, prioritized landing in Mumbai. A spokesperson from IndiGo issued a statement, reassuring, “IndiGo flight 6E-2012 operating from Madurai to Mumbai had a technical issue prior to landing in Mumbai. The pilot prioritised the landing in Mumbai. The aircraft is held at Mumbai and will be back in operations after necessary maintenance. We regret the inconvenience caused to the passengers.

This incident highlights the crucial role of skilled pilots and the robust design of modern aircraft, enabling them to operate safely on a single engine when necessary.

The incident coincides with a recent announcement by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), which revealed that Pratt & Whitney, the aerospace manufacturer, acknowledged material anomalies in its PW1100G engines worldwide, affecting around 200 engines. Consequently, Pratt & Whitney issued Service Instructions (SI) specifying the serial numbers of engines requiring Angle Ultrasonic Scan Inspection during shop visits. Engines falling within this category are mandated to be removed before September 15.

As aviation authorities and manufacturers continue to prioritize safety, incidents like these underscore the significance of vigilant maintenance practices and prompt technical interventions.

Teacher Booked for Allegedly Making Derogatory Remarks Against Community in East Delhi

0

In an unsettling incident, a teacher has been formally charged for reportedly making derogatory remarks targeting a specific community within the confines of a classroom in Gandhi Nagar, East Delhi. The incident, which occurred last week, has sparked both concern and investigation.

A senior police official shared, “The incident took place last week. We received a complaint and registered a case against the teacher. The investigation into the matter is underway.” The nature of the remarks and the potential consequences of such behavior are being thoroughly examined.

Responding to this matter, Anil Kumar Bajpai, MLA of Gandhi Nagar, expressed his strong disapproval. He emphasized the core duty of educators, stating, “This is absolutely wrong. The responsibility of a teacher is to give good education to the children. The teacher should not pass derogatory comments against any religious or holy place. Such people should be arrested.

This incident comes in the wake of a similar occurrence in Muzaffarnagar, Uttar Pradesh, where a viral video depicted a school teacher encouraging her students to physically harm a boy from a minority community. The teacher, Tripta Tyagi, also allegedly made objectionable remarks directed at the community.

In the Muzaffarnagar case, the boy’s family lodged a complaint, leading to the booking of Tripta Tyagi under IPC Sections 323 (punishment for voluntarily causing hurt) and 504 (intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace), both categorized as non-cognizable offenses. Notably, such offenses are bailable and do not result in immediate arrest; they necessitate a warrant for further action.

As both these incidents raise concerns over the conduct of educators and the well-being of students within the classroom environment, authorities are focusing on appropriate measures to address such behavior and ensure a safe and inclusive learning atmosphere.
