He emphasized that this tradition of students tying rakhis on his wrist is an annual practice. With confidence, he asserted that no one else globally could boast of such a remarkable number of rakhis.

Mysuru, August 30,2023: In a bid to extend financial support to women across India, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has announced the replication of Karnataka’s successful Gruha Lakshmi scheme on a national scale. This announcement came during the launch of the scheme by the Karnataka government in Mysuru.

The Gruha Lakshmi scheme, which allocates Rs 2,000 per month to women who are heads of households, is set to serve as a robust safety net for women across the country. In a substantial respite for households across the nation, the Union Cabinet has given the green light to a substantial reduction of Rs 200 in the prices of LPG gas cylinders available to all LPG consumers. Union Minister Anurag Thakur made the announcement during a comprehensive Cabinet briefing, marking a pivotal move in favor of consumers.

During the briefing, Union Minister Anurag Thakur conveyed, “PM Modi has decided Rs 200 reduction in the price of domestic LPG cylinders, for all users…this is a gift from PM Narendra Modi, to the women of the country, during the occasion of Raksha Bandhan.

Following this welcome development, the cost of LPG gas cylinders is anticipated to be around Rs 900 for all consumers and approximately Rs 700 for beneficiaries of the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana (PMUY), commonly known as the Ujjwala scheme.

The endorsement of an additional subsidy amounting to Rs 200 under the Ujjwala Scheme elevates the total subsidy to Rs 400 per cylinder for PMUY beneficiaries.

In the Muzaffarnagar case, the boy’s family lodged a complaint, leading to the booking of Tripta Tyagi under IPC Sections 323 (punishment for voluntarily causing hurt) and 504 (intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace), both categorized as non-cognizable offenses. Notably, such offenses are bailable and do not result in immediate arrest; they necessitate a warrant for further action.
