BENGALURU – In a significant political development, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has officially confirmed its pre-poll alliance with the Janata Dal (Secular) led by former Prime Minister H. D. In a bid to disassociate itself from the recent controversy ignited by Tamil Nadu minister Udhayanidhi Stalin’s remarks on Sanatan Dharma, Congress leader Pawan Khera emphasized the party’s commitment to ‘Sarvdharm Sambhav’ (equal respect for all religions).

Addressing a press conference on Thursday, Khera stated, “The Indian National Congress has always upheld the principle of ‘Sarvdharm Sambhav,’ where no faith is considered inferior to any other. Congress does not endorse any of the comments made by Udhayanidhi Stalin regarding Sanatan Dharma.”
