CM Gehlot Presses PM Modi for Clarity on National Rollout of Rajasthan’s Major Initiatives

0

Jaipur ; – Rajasthan’s Chief Minister, Ashok Gehlot, has urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to extend the implementation of Rajasthan’s successful welfare schemes, such as the Chiranjeevi Health Insurance and the Urban Employment Guarantee, to the national level. Gehlot’s call comes in response to Modi’s recent statement that the BJP would not discontinue welfare schemes initiated by the Congress in Rajasthan if the BJP came to power in the state.

Gehlot also reaffirmed his government’s commitment to conducting a caste survey in Rajasthan, following the model recently executed in Bihar.

In response to Modi’s assurance regarding welfare schemes, Gehlot stated, “It means that he accepted that our plans are great. He should not worry; we have implemented them well.” Gehlot called on Modi to announce the Rs 25 lakh insurance scheme and implement the urban employment scheme at the national level, urging him to do so before campaigning in Rajasthan.

Addressing the opposition, Gehlot remarked that BJP leaders in the state struggle to find reasons to criticize the decisions of the Congress government, leading to various unsubstantiated claims.

Regarding the caste survey, Gehlot clarified that while a full census can only be conducted by the Centre, the state government is conducting a survey of families to assess their economic conditions.

Responding to questions about the Congress’ alliance with other parties for the upcoming state elections, Gehlot deemed it an internal matter of the party.

Gehlot emphasized the significance of the revolutionary decisions undertaken by his government, claiming that every village and household in Rajasthan has benefited from their schemes.

In the ongoing Sanjeevani Credit Co-operative Society scam case, Gehlot expressed his willingness to apologize if Union Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, whom he has accused of involvement in the scam, extends assistance to the victims.

Gehlot has consistently accused Jodhpur MP Shekhawat of complicity in the scam.

This news format provides a concise summary of Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot’s statements and the context surrounding them.

Supreme Court Asks ED: “Where Is the Evidence Against Sisodia? If Not His Role, Then Why the Accusations?”

Supreme Court’s Doubts Over Manish Sisodia’s Money Laundering Implication

New Delhi: The Supreme Court has cast doubts on the Enforcement Directorate (ED) and the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) regarding the evidence in the case against Manish Sisodia. The Court’s inquiry directly addresses the absence of substantial proof incriminating Sisodia in the Delhi Excise Policy case. Presently, the Supreme Court is hearing Manish Sisodia’s bail plea in connection with the Delhi liquor policy scandal.

The pivotal question arises as to whether Sisodia’s arrest occurred in the absence of adequate evidence, and why he has remained in custody since his arrest in February. The Supreme Court has put forth direct queries to the investigative agencies, demanding, “Where is the evidence? You must establish the sequence of events in the case. Where is the documentation of the criminal proceedings?”

The Supreme Court has observed that Sisodia appears not to be implicated in this case and has sought an explanation of how he became embroiled in a money laundering case. The apex court asserted, “It seems Manish Sisodia is not connected to this case. There’s Vijay Nair, but no Manish Sisodia. How did you invoke the Money Laundering Act against him? Money isn’t reaching him.”

The Supreme Court has raised a series of critical questions for the investigative agencies, raising uncertainties about the robustness of their case. The Court emphasized, “You need to establish a sequence. Money has to flow from the liquor lobby to individuals. We understand that proving this is challenging because everything is conducted covertly. However, this is where your competence is evaluated.”

Karnataka Replay in Telangana? BJP Leaders Anxious Over Modi’s Campaign Involvement !

Is BJP’s Dependence on PM Narendra Modi in Telangana Campaign Echoing the Karnataka Debacle? – A Matter of Concern for State Leaders

Hyderabad : The BJP’s strategy in Telangana has become a subject of intense discussion among state leaders, with concerns arising about whether relying on Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the campaign might lead to a situation similar to what transpired in Karnataka.

As the BJP central leadership assumes control of the state election campaign, several state leaders express apprehension, fearing that excessive central interference could backfire, much like the situation in Karnataka where despite Prime Minister Narendra Modi taking the helm of the entire campaign, the party suffered a significant defeat.

During the Karnataka elections, Modi conducted over 20 rallies and roadshows, primarily focusing on issues such as national security and the economy. However, these themes failed to resonate with voters in the state, as per BJP state leaders.

One BJP leader remarked, “If a similar approach is adopted during the Telangana campaign, the results are unlikely to differ. We are already trailing behind rival parties, and if the central leadership does not allow us to address local issues, garnering public support will be exceptionally challenging.”

The BJP state leadership is formulating plans for a series of public meetings and rallies featuring prominent leaders, including Prime Minister Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, BJP National President JP Nadda, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, and Chief Ministers from BJP-ruled states, scheduled for this month. Sources within the party suggest that approximately 40 meetings involving top party leaders in the state are in the pipeline for the next month.

“A renewed sense of enthusiasm has gripped party leaders and functionaries following the Prime Minister’s public meetings in Mahabubnagar and Nizamabad. Their morale is now significantly boosted, and we are planning additional PM meetings in the coming days,” revealed a prominent BJP leader in the city.

Sources have also indicated that the party is considering a public meeting featuring Amit Shah in Kamareddy or Gajwel in the upcoming week. JP Nadda’s visit to Hyderabad on Friday will coincide with a state executive meeting, during which discussions will revolve around the party’s election readiness and the scheduling of public meetings involving the Prime Minister and other leaders in the state.

Congress Cites RBI Data, Alleges Widespread Financial Distress Among Indians

RBI Data Fuels Congress Accusations of Economic Crisis Under Modi’s Leadership

via Getty Images)

New Delhi : The Congress party has made a striking claim today, asserting that a substantial number of Indian households are grappling with “extreme levels of economic distress attributed to the policies of the Modi government.” The party points to a surge in inflation, mounting debt, and dwindling household savings as key indicators of this distress.

Congress General Secretary Jairam Ramesh took to social media to share an article from an undisclosed source, which reportedly draws from recently published data by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI). According to the article, the RBI data paints a concerning picture of the economic landscape, with a notable decline in savings amid a backdrop of sluggish income growth, adjusted for inflation, over the past four years. Ramesh emphasized, “Some fresh and concerning analysis coming out of the RBI’s data: In addition to household savings rates now at historic lows, income growth adjusted for inflation over the past four years is the slowest in the past 40 years.”

The article also highlights that net household financial savings have dropped by a fifth during Fiscal Year 2023, while non-housing borrowing has doubled in the same period, possibly indicating increased debt acquired to support consumption.

Ramesh firmly asserted, “This data explains why the Modi government is burying the Consumption Expenditure Survey of 2022-23. It will reveal in stark terms how most Indians are getting poorer.” He further stated, “Clearly, the vast majority of Indian families are facing extreme levels of economic distress caused by the Modi government—escalating inflation, mounting debt, slowing household consumption, and falling savings. Mr. Modi cannot escape accountability by suppressing data.”

The Congress party has consistently criticized the government’s economic management, raising concerns about rising unemployment and surging household expenses. This latest revelation based on RBI data adds to the mounting criticism, as the Congress continues to scrutinize the economic impact of government policies on the lives of ordinary Indians.
