4. EATALA RAJENDER:
A prominent figure and six-time MLA, Eatala Rajender, faced defeat in Huzurabad against BRS MLC Padi Kaushik Reddy.
The rejection of these star BJP leaders indicates a shift in public sentiment and preferences, reshaping the political dynamics in Telangana.
Hyderabad : In a striking manifestation of anti-incumbency sentiments among Telangana voters, six ministers from the outgoing BRS cabinet suffered defeats in the elections, facing substantial margins against Congress and BJP candidates.
While eight other ministers successfully retained their seats, Health Minister Harish Rao notably secured a resounding victory in Siddipet with an impressive lead of over 82,000 votes. The list of triumphant ministers includes Sabita Indra Reddy (Maheswaram), Talasani Srinivas Yadav, Vemula Prashanth Reddy, Ch Malla Reddy, KT Rama Rao, Gangula Kamalakar, and party chief K Chandrashekar Rao.
However, KCR faced defeat in Kamareddy but managed to retain Gajwel.
Minister of Endowments Allola Indrakaran Reddy, contesting from Nirmal, suffered defeat to BJP’s Alleti Maheshwar Reddy by a margin of 50,703 votes, with the latter securing 106,400 votes.

Hyderabad : In a swift move by the Telangana State government, Ravi Gupta has been appointed as the new Director-General of Police (DGP) for the State, replacing the recently suspended DGP Anjani Kumar.
The decision came just hours after the suspension of Anjani Kumar, following the issuance of notices to two Additional DG rank officers, Sanjay Jain and Mahesh Muralidhar Bhagwat, by the State government. The suspension and notices were in response to alleged violations of the Model Code of Conduct, as directed by the Election Commission of India.
Ravi Gupta, currently serving as the Director-General of the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB), has been entrusted with the full additional charge of the post of DGP (Head of Police Force) with immediate effect. It is anticipated that once the new government assumes charges, Ravi Gupta will likely be officially appointed to the position.
Telangana: With the Congress taking the lead against its rival BRS in Telangana, all eyes are now on the facial transformation of Congress leader N Uttam Kumar Reddy. As per the latest update from the Election Commission, the national party is leading in 53 seats, while BRS is trailing with 30 seats. The BJP and CPI are also in the mix, leading in 6 and 1 seat, respectively. The majority mark to form a government in Telangana is set at 60 seats.
As the anticipation builds for Congress potentially securing power, the spotlight turns to Uttam Kumar Reddy, seen as the probable Chief Minister if the Grand Old Party unseats the BRS. The question arises: Will Uttam Kumar Reddy finally shave his long beard following these recent developments? It’s worth noting that in 2016, he pledged not to shave his beard until the Congress came to power in Telangana.
In a recent tweet, Telangana Congress declared, ”My beard will be removed tomorrow, says Uttam Kumar Reddy.” The prospect of this symbolic gesture adds an intriguing element to the unfolding political scenario.
నా గడ్డం రేపు తీసేస్తున్నా✅ — ఉత్తమ్ కుమార్ రెడ్డి
New Delhi: In a decisive move, the Election Commission of India has suspended Anjani Kumar, Director General of Police Telangana, citing violations of the Model Code of Conduct and relevant conduct rules, according to sources.
This action comes in response to a meeting involving the Director General of Police Telangana, Sanjay Jain (State Police Nodal Officer, Telangana), and Mahesh Bhagwat (Nodal – Expenditure). The trio had visited the residence of Anumula Revanth Reddy, a contesting candidate in the ongoing General Election to the Legislative Assembly of Telangana, in Hyderabad. Their visit included the presentation of a flower bouquet to the said contesting candidate.
Europe, Munich: As private jets were gearing up to depart for a ‘Climate Change’ conference in Dubai, a surprising obstacle emerged – freezing temperatures and heavy snowfall at the Munich airport. Approximately 60% of Europe found itself blanketed in snow, causing these gas-guzzling planes to remain stranded on the runway.
In an ironic twist, the very individuals slated to discuss climate-related issues were faced with the immediate impact of extreme weather conditions. Rich attendees, ready to board their private jets, found themselves unable to take off due to the wintry conditions.
This unexpected scenario serves as a vivid example of the complex challenges associated with climate-related initiatives. Meanwhile, in Berlin, Germany, a person walks along the snow-covered Berlin Wall Memorial Bernauer Strasse, highlighting the widespread impact of the prevailing snowfall across the continent.

Known as a strong contender for the chief minister’s position, Revanth Reddy is also leading in Kamareddy against Chief Minister and BRS president K. Chandrasekhar Rao.
