New Delhi, Jan 4, 2024 : In a crucial gathering, senior Congress leaders convened in New Delhi on Thursday to deliberate on the party’s strategy for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. The meeting, presided over by Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge, focused on seat-sharing arrangements and detailed preparations for the Bharat Nyay Yatra, spearheaded by Rahul Gandhi and set to commence on January 14, from Manipur to Maharashtra.
The meeting brought together party luminaries, including general secretaries, state in-charges, state unit chiefs, and Congress Legislature Party leaders. Former party chief Rahul Gandhi actively participated in the discussions.
Prior to the meeting, former Rajasthan chief minister Ashok Gehlot highlighted the deliberations within the internal Congress committee regarding seat sharing with other parties. Gehlot affirmed that the committee would present its findings to Mallikarjun Kharge and Rahul Gandhi, with subsequent discussions aimed at fortifying the I.N.D.I.A alliance and resolving seat-sharing complexities.
