New Delhi : Maulana Mahmood Asad Madani, the President of All India Ulama Board, has condemned the ongoing bloody conflict in Palestine and heavy bombardment in residential areas, urging an immediate cessation. Maulana Madani has made an appeal to the international community, including global powers, the United Nations Security Council, and the World Muslim League, to intervene promptly in this matter. He stated that the people of India stand with Palestinians, who have been distressed for the past 75 years due to Israeli oppressive occupation and violence, forcing them to live in their own homeland like prisoners. Undoubtedly, the struggle of the Palestinian people is for the freedom of their homeland and the restoration of their first Qibla (the direction faced during Muslim prayers).

Maulana Madani emphasized that the root cause of this conflict is Israel’s illegal occupation and expansionist ideology in Palestinian territory. Observing the consequences of this war, it becomes essential to resolve it as per the defined principles of the United Nations, leading to the speedy establishment of an independent, self-governing Palestinian state free from Israeli dominance and persecution.

Maulana Madani expressed concern and dissatisfaction with the current shameful reporting on the war by the media in India. He criticized those who label the nation that fights for its rights as “terrorists.” He pointed out that notable figures in India, especially Mahatma Gandhi, Pandit Nehru, and former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, have always supported the Palestinian cause. On this occasion, he urged the Prime Minister of India to sensitize Israel to play a constructive role in resolving the Palestine-Israel conflict. He recommended that instead of supporting Israel, India should use its influence to advocate for justice, establish lasting peace, and protect innocent lives in besieged cities. This approach serves the best interests of our nation and fulfills our humanitarian duty.
