Panic Ensues as SpiceJet Flight Returns to Kolkata After Take-off Due to Window Crack

In a concerning incident this Wednesday morning, a SpiceJet flight bound for Mumbai was forced to return to Kolkata shortly after take-off due to the discovery of a crack on one of the plane’s windows, triggering a panic among the passengers.

The affected flight, SG-515, had initially departed from Kolkata Airport at 6.17 am, carrying 176 passengers and six crew members on board. However, during the course of the flight, the vigilant cabin crew identified the crack in a windowpane. Swiftly responding to the situation, they promptly notified the flight’s pilot.

The pilot, in turn, established contact with the air traffic control tower at Kolkata Airport, seeking permission for an emergency landing. Authorities quickly granted the request, ensuring a safe return for the aircraft and its occupants.

The flight successfully touched down at Kolkata Airport around 7.45 am, averting any potential safety concerns. Investigations are now underway to determine the cause of the window crack and ensure the continued safety of all SpiceJet flights.
