Chhattisgarh, – Rahul Gandhi, Congress leader and Member of Parliament from Wayanad, raised allegations against Prime Minister Narendra Modi during an event in Chhattisgarh. Addressing concerns about the Adani group’s stock manipulation charges, Gandhi asserted, “India’s PM can’t make an inquiry on the Adani. Because after the inquiry, the loss will not be for Adani but to someone else.”

He also commented on BJP’s performance in the Karnataka Assembly elections, stating, “Before every election, BJP presents a number. They say they will get 230 seats-250 seats. But every poor person in Karnataka voted for Congress.”
Gandhi went on to criticize BJP’s economic policies, claiming that “GST and demonetization destroyed small businessmen and that was done deliberately.”
Asserting a commitment to serving the common people, Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel stated, “Congress party always works towards empowering the common people and giving them their rights.”
Rahul Gandhi’s visit to poll-bound Chhattisgarh coincides with Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s release of an “Arop Patra” (chargesheet) against the Bhupesh Baghel government, accusing it of indulging in scams and loot, and committing atrocities against the people of the state.
In the 2018 assembly polls, the Congress secured a significant victory in Chhattisgarh with 68 of 90 seats, while the BJP trailed with 15 seats. The JCC (J) won in five constituencies, and its ally BSP gained two seats, giving the Congress a dominant presence in the state with 71 members in the House.
