President Murmu Honors NTR’s Lasting Legacy Through Commemorative Coin Unveiling at Rashtrapati Bhavan Cultural Centre
President Droupadi Murmu unveiled a commemorative coin to honor the legendary actor and former chief minister of unified Andhra Pradesh, late N T Rama Rao, as he enters his centenary year. The ceremony took place at the Rashtrapati Bhavan Cultural Centre.
The President acknowledged NTR’s invaluable contribution to Indian cinema and culture, particularly through his Telugu films. She highlighted how NTR’s acting resonated with the common people and effectively conveyed their concerns.
NTR’s film “Manushulanta Okkate” was cited as a powerful medium that conveyed a message of social justice and equality by proclaiming the inherent equality of all human beings.
The President praised NTR for his significant impact on both the entertainment industry and public service. She emphasized his exceptional personality and dedication, noting that he had left an indelible mark on Indian politics by introducing various welfare initiatives that continue to be remembered.
