In a recent development, the Election Commission of India has officially assigned the binocular symbol to YS Sharmila’s YSR Telangana Party (YSRTP). This decision was announced on Thursday, marking a significant milestone for the burgeoning political party.
The YSR Telangana Party, spearheaded by YS Sharmila, has been actively preparing for the upcoming elections. YS Sharmila, who serves as the president of the party, recently declared that her party intends to field candidates in all 119 assembly constituencies, underlining their commitment to participate comprehensively in the democratic process.
Prior to this announcement, the YSRTP conducted an extensive state-wide tour, covering a remarkable distance of 3,800 kilometers. During this tour, YS Sharmila personally engaged with local residents, empathizing with their concerns and striving to gain a deeper understanding of the challenges they face.
YS Sharmila, the daughter of the former Congress Chief Minister YS Rajasekhar Reddy, established the YSR Telangana Party with the vision of ushering in ‘Rajanna Rajyam’ in the state. As the party secures the binocular symbol from the Election Commission, it prepares to make its mark on the political landscape, offering a new and distinct choice to the electorate.
