Hyderabad: A wrestling competition took a violent turn as two groups of wrestlers clashed at LB Stadium in Hyderabad. The brawl occurred during the Modi Kesari wrestling competition, involving participants from various “akharas.”

The altercation began over a dispute between two wrestlers, leading to their respective supporters engaging in a physical confrontation. Chairs were thrown during the brawl. The groups involved were reportedly relatives of Zafar Pehlwan and Salam Bin Yousuf Pehlwan from the old city.

A total of ten individuals, including Ali Bin Yousuf Pehlwan, sustained injuries in the clash, causing panic among spectators, who fled the scene. Police swiftly arrived, bringing the situation under control and transporting the injured to the hospital.

Authorities have initiated an investigation and filed cases against both groups in connection with the incident.
