Hyderabad : — A significant fire broke out at Ankura Hospital, located near Pillar No. 68 of PVNR Expressway in the Jyothinagar area of Mehdipatnam on Saturday evening.
Early reports indicate that the fire originated from a flexi on the rooftop of the hospital building around 5:30 pm. Fortunately, no casualties have been reported in the incident.
Five fire tenders promptly rushed to the scene, successfully bringing the fire under control. The material from the hoarding, which was on fire, fell on the setback side. While initial videos suggested the fire may have started from these floors, it has been clarified that the fire remained external and did not spread inside the hospital premises.
As a precautionary measure, the hospital management evacuated patients from the facility. The situation is currently under control, and there are no reported casualties or injuries. The Disaster Response Force (DRF) Team collaborated with the Fire Department to manage the situation effectively. Investigations are underway to determine the cause of the fire.
