Kothakota Sreenivasa Reddy, a seasoned IPS officer of the 1994 batch, officially took charge as the Hyderabad Police Commissioner. His appointment by the General Administration Department led to a series of transfers within the police force.
The former Police Commissioner of the city, Sandeep Shandilya, now assumes the role of Director at the Telangana State Anti-Narcotics Bureau. Avinash Mohanthy, previously the Joint Commissioner of Police (Admin) in Cyberabad, steps into the role of the Cyberabad Police Commissioner.
Further changes include the transfer of G. Sudheer Babu, formerly the Additional Commissioner of Police (Traffic) in Hyderabad, who has now been appointed as the Rachakonda Police Commissioner. In a parallel move, Avinash Mohanthy takes on the leadership of the Cyberabad Police Commissioner.
As a result of these strategic transfers, IPS officers Devendra Singh Chauhan and M. Stephen Raveendra have been directed to report to the office of the Director General of Police. The reshuffling aims to bring fresh perspectives and dynamic leadership to key positions within the Hyderabad police force.
