Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal expressed strong criticism and concern on Tuesday regarding the reported proposal to change the name of ‘India’ to ‘Bharat.’ Kejriwal characterized the move as a betrayal and emphasized that renaming the country should not be taken lightly.

“If the INDIA Alliance Parties change their name to ‘Bharat,’ will the Modi government then change the name of ‘Bharat’ to ‘BJP’?” : Arvind Kejriwal.

He questioned the motives behind this potential change, suggesting that it might be driven by political considerations ahead of the upcoming Lok Sabha polls. Kejriwal argued that altering the country’s name in response to the formation of the ‘INDIA’ alliance was unnecessary and indicated a lack of focus on genuine issues affecting the nation.

Additionally, Kejriwal accused the BJP of employing diversionary tactics, particularly mentioning the ‘One nation, one election’ proposal. He criticized this initiative, suggesting that it might result in BJP leaders being less engaged with the public and focusing more on global affairs, potentially leading to economic challenges for the citizens.
