Hyderabad, July 16 — Senior photojournalist Shaik Naseer, who was associated with Munsif Urdu Daily for over three decades, passed away on Wednesday morning at the age of 60 after a brief illness. He is survived by his wife and two children.

According to his son Imtiyaz, Naseer had been struggling with health issues for the past few years and breathed his last at his residence.
His funeral prayers (Namaz-e-Janaza) were held at Qutub Shahi Masjid in Bazar Guard after Asar prayers on Wednesday. The burial took place at a nearby graveyard the same evening. The funeral witnessed the presence of Munsif staff members, journalists from various media organizations, and union leaders. Several journalists representing Telugu media houses also attended to pay their final respects.
Expressing grief over his demise, Chief Minister of Telangana A. Revanth Reddy conveyed his condolences to the bereaved family and described Naseer as a committed photojournalist whose services to the field will always be remembered.
BRS leader K. Kavitha also issued a condolence message, recalling Naseer’s long-standing contribution to Urdu journalism and extending her support to his family.
Former minister Harish Rao expressed deep sorrow over Naseer’s passing and offered his heartfelt condolences to his family and colleagues. He prayed for strength to the grieving family and eternal peace for the departed soul.
Shaik Naseer’s death has left a deep void in the journalistic fraternity of Hyderabad. His decades of dedication and work have earned him widespread respect among peers, and his loss is mourned by both media professionals and political leaders across the state.
