Lucknow : In a puzzling turn of events, Pushpa Verma, the wife of Sitaram Verma, the BJP MLA representing the Lambhua Assembly seat in Uttar Pradesh’s Sultanpur district, has gone missing from her residence in Lucknow.

The unsettling disappearance unfolded on Tuesday morning, leaving the Verma family deeply concerned. The MLA’s son has swiftly taken action by filing a case at the Ghazipur police station, and multiple police teams have been mobilized to locate her.

According to DCP North Qasim Abdi, MLA Sitaram Verma’s wife, Pushpa Verma, aged 65, resides with her family at their house in Ghazipur Sector-8. The mysterious incident occurred around 6 a.m. on Tuesday when Pushpa left her residence without informing anyone.

Extensive searches yielded no sign of her, prompting the MLA’s son, retired Lieutenant Colonel Pankaj Kumar, to inform his father. MLA Sitaram Verma made the journey from Sultanpur to Lucknow to address the matter. Pankaj Kumar promptly filed a missing person report at the Ghazipur police station.

In his quest to find his missing wife, MLA Sitaram Verma met with the DCP, seeking assistance in the search. Notably, around 9 a.m., Pushpa Verma was reportedly spotted near the Aurobindo Park outpost in Indira Nagar. Law enforcement agencies are now utilizing CCTV cameras and social media platforms to aid in the search efforts.

The Verma family has informed the police that Pushpa Verma is battling amnesia and is currently undergoing treatment for the condition, adding a layer of concern to her disappearance. The search for Pushpa Verma continues, as her family anxiously awaits her safe return.
