In a harrowing series of events, three lives were lost in two separate incidents of murder that unfolded in Asifabad and Mancherial, sending shockwaves through the communities.

Asifabad Incident:

A longstanding feud took a deadly turn in Bestawada on Friday night, resulting in the tragic murder of a 45-year-old man, Gubide Shravan. The assailant, identified as Bamne Srinivas, allegedly hacked Shravan to death at around 10 pm. In a swift retaliation, Shravan’s elder son, Anil, chased Srinivas for a kilometer and inflicted fatal blows using an axe. The town was left in disarray as the sequence of events unfolded.

Asifabad Inspector Raju revealed that the police suspect Srinivas harbored resentment towards Shravan over a trivial matter. The incident occurred while Srinivas was reportedly in an inebriated state. Notably, Srinivas, the accused, was the son-in-law of the victim and resided in close proximity. Anil, having confessed to the crime, surrendered himself to the police.

Shravan, survived by three sons, leaves a community grappling with the aftermath of the shocking incident.

Mancherial Tragedy:

In Keslapur village of Bheemini mandal, Mancherial district, a 38-year-old migrant daily wage laborer, Boddu Jalandar, met a tragic end on Friday night. Jalandar, who had migrated to Hyderabad in search of livelihood a few years ago, was fatally stabbed. The accused, Muthyam Rajashekhar Goud, surrendered to the authorities, admitting to the heinous act.

Tensions had reportedly been escalating between the families of Jalandar and Rajashekhar, leading to the unfortunate culmination in a fatal stabbing.

The communities in Asifabad and Mancherial are left grappling with the shock of these violent incidents. Investigations are underway as authorities work to unravel the circumstances surrounding these tragic events.
