SIDDIPET : In a shocking and tragic incident, a security guard employed by Siddipet District Collector Prashant Jeevan Patil shot and killed his wife and two children before turning the gun on himself. The horrifying event unfolded on Friday in Ramunipatta village, located in Chinnakodur mandal in Telangana’s Siddipet district.
The assailant, identified as police constable Akula Naresh (35), was serving as the gunman for District Collector Prashant Jeevan Patil. Naresh, who had not reported for duty on Friday, took the lives of his wife Chaitanya (30), son Revanth (6), and daughter Himashri (5) by firing from a pistol. The assailant then took his own life.
Neighbors, alarmed by the gunshots, rushed to the scene to discover the horrifying aftermath. The police were alerted, and upon arriving at the location, they initiated the process of shifting the bodies for autopsy.
An investigation has been launched, and a case has been registered by the police. Financial difficulties are suspected to be a contributing factor in the incident. Locals have suggested that Naresh was grappling with online betting addiction and had borrowed money from others. However, the police have stated that they are probing the case from all possible angles to establish the motives behind this tragic incident.
