Three Senior IPS Officers, Including Hyderabad CP CV Anand, Promoted to DGP Rank

On Monday, the State Government announced the promotion of three distinguished IPS officers, including CV Anand, the Hyderabad Police Commissioner, to the esteemed rank of Director General of Police. Remarkably, these elevated officers will maintain their current positions.

According to an official decree issued by the Chief Secretary of Telangana, the promotions pertain to three IPS officers from the CV Anand (1991), Rajiv Ratan (1991), and Dr. Jitender (1992) batches. These officers have now ascended beyond the super time scale (ii), achieving level 16 in the IPS (Pay) Rules, 2016 pay matrix.

Notably, CV Anand will retain his role while simultaneously holding the Full Additional Charge for the position of Additional Director General at the TS Anti-Narcotics Bureau. Rajiv Ratan’s responsibilities will remain centered as the Managing Director of the Telangana State Police Housing Corporation, Hyderabad, now operating at the DGP rank. Similarly, Dr. Jitender’s role as Principal Secretary to the Government, Home Department at the Telangana Secretariat, has been confirmed at the DGP rank, encompassing the Full Additional Charge for the roles of Director General of Prisons and Correctional Service, as well as Special Protection Force
