Hyderabad : In a dramatic turn of events, the Hyderabad Police detained Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) president, Revanth Reddy, as he was en route to the Telangana Martyrs Memorial at Gun Park. The incident occurred on Tuesday when Revanth Reddy was stopped by the police just outside Gun Park, citing the presence of the model code of conduct.

Tensions flared as a heated exchange of arguments transpired between Revanth Reddy and the police officers, ultimately culminating in his detention.

This incident comes on the heels of a challenge Revanth Reddy issued to Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao just days prior. He publicly challenged the Chief Minister to take an oath at Gun Park, pledging to seek votes without resorting to inducements such as money or liquor. The challenge had set the stage for heightened political rhetoric and tensions in the region.

The detention of Revanth Reddy has further fueled the political fervor and added to the ongoing discourse surrounding the upcoming elections in Telangana.

(Akai News India ) will continue to follow this developing story and provide updates on the unfolding political situation in Telangana.
