In response to the tragic death of Group 2 aspirant Pravalika, the Governor of Telangana, Tamilisai Soundararajan, has taken swift action. On Saturday, she directed the state Chief Secretary, Director General of Police (DGP), and the Telangana State Public Service Commission (TSPSC) to provide a detailed report on Pravalika’s suicide within the next 48 hours. Governor Soundararajan, while expressing her condolences to Pravalika’s family, urged the student community to remain patient during these challenging times.

Pravalika, who was undergoing coaching in Ashok Nagar, Hyderabad, took her own life on Friday night, leading to a wave of tension in the city. Student unions and opposition political parties took to the streets to protest the incident. However, law enforcement authorities intervened, dispersing the students and subsequently transferring Pravalika’s body to the hospital for a post-mortem examination.

Meanwhile, the last rites of Pravalika have commenced in her hometown of Warangal. The police, in an effort to maintain order, have restricted the participation of political leaders and student unions in the funeral procession. The situation remains tense at Osmania University, where an altercation between police and students occurred during the protests.

The incident has sent shockwaves across the state, prompting the Congress party to call for widespread protests. They are demanding justice for Pravalika’s family and holding the government accountable for the circumstances leading to her tragic death. The developments continue to unfold as the community seeks answers and justice in the wake of this devastating event.
