Hyderabad, Dec 8 – A day after assuming office, Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy conducted the inaugural ‘Praja Darbar’ at his camp office-cum-official residence in Hyderabad, demonstrating a commitment to direct engagement with the public.

At the newly renamed Jyotirao Phule Praja Bhavan, people from various districts of the state queued up in large numbers to present their grievances, making the first day of the ‘Praja Darbar’ a resounding success.

Special Focus on Persons with Disabilities

Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, prioritizing inclusivity, gave special attention to representations from persons with disabilities. He thoroughly inquired about their problems, assuring immediate measures to address their grievances.

State ministers Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy and Danasari Anasuya (Seethakka) were also present at the event, underscoring the government’s commitment to accessibility and responsiveness.

Efficient Grievance Redressal Mechanism

The state government, in collaboration with CMO Special Chief Secretary Seshadri, DGP Ravi Gupta, and other officials, implemented a robust system for the ‘Praja Darbar.’ Fifteen desks were dedicated to registering grievances, and a unique Grievance Number (ID) was generated for each petition, facilitating efficient tracking.

Printed acknowledgments and SMS notifications were promised for applicants, ensuring transparency and accountability in the grievance redressal process.

Welcoming Accessibility

Addressing the public after his swearing-in, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy emphasized dismantling barricades and iron fences around the camp office-cum-official residence. He declared that the space would be accessible to all citizens henceforth, aiming to dispel allegations of inaccessibility made during the previous government’s tenure.

The first day of the ‘Praja Darbar’ saw overwhelming participation not only from Hyderabad but also from citizens across all districts of the state, marking a promising start to Chief Minister Revanth Reddy’s tenure in office.
