Hyderabad: In a sudden turn of events, the helicopter carrying BRS president and Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao had to execute an emergency landing just minutes after taking off from the Erravelli farm house on Monday. The Chief Minister was en route to Devarakadra in Mahabubnagar district to address a public gathering.
Sources report that the pilot decided to return to the farm house due to a technical glitch observed after the second engine malfunctioned. The Bell helicopter was originally scheduled to transport Chandrasekhar Rao to Devarakadra, Makhtal, and then Narayanapet.
According to sources, the twin-engine Bell helicopter took off at approximately 12:15 p.m. and had to return after being in the air for 30 minutes. An official stated that a standby helicopter was being arranged for the Chief Minister’s journey to Devarakadra.
The six-seater Bell Helicopter is a crucial mode of transportation for Chief Minister KCR, who is currently engaged in addressing a series of three public meetings in a single day.
