Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy Sends Sacred Chadar to Dargah Ajmer Sharif

Hyderabad :- In a significant gesture of religious unity and secularism, Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy of Telangana, accompanied by former minister Mohammed Ali Shabbir, Zafar Javeed, senior vice president of TPCC, Hyderabad DCC president Sameer Waliullah, Congress MLAs, and other minority leaders, dispatched a Ghilaf-e-Mubarak (sacred chadar) to the Dargah Ajmer Sharif of Hazrat Khwaja Gharib Nawaz Moinuddin Chisti.

The chadar, symbolizing respect and devotion, is slated to be placed at the revered Dargah Shareef during the upcoming Urs of Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti, Ajmer.

Chief Minister Revanth Reddy emphasized the enduring commitment of Telangana to secularism under the present Congress government. He vowed to promote peace and communal harmony, ensuring equal growth opportunities for all communities in the state. Reddy also appealed to the leaders involved in presenting the chadar to pray for the prosperity and peace of the entire country, with a special focus on Telangana.

Addressing the media, Mohammed Ali Shabbir explained that the chadar was sent on the occasion of the 812th annual Urs of Hazrat Khwaja Moinuddin Chisti (RA). He underscored the Urs as a celebration of peace, harmony, and brotherhood, aligning with the Congress party’s longstanding commitment to secularism and the harmonious coexistence of all religions, sects, and beliefs.

This move by the Chief Minister reflects a broader commitment to fostering religious tolerance and inclusivity, setting a positive tone for communal relations in the state.
