Telangana Allocates Rs 2 Crore to Nikhat Zareen for Paris Olympics Preparation

Hyderabad : In a gesture of support and encouragement, the Telangana government has extended financial assistance amounting to Rs 2 crore to world boxing champion Nikhat Zareen for her preparation ahead of the Paris Olympics scheduled for the upcoming year.Hyderabad :

Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy and Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka presented the substantial cheque to Nikhat Zareen in a ceremony held at the Assembly premises. The occasion coincided with the launch of the state government’s initiative, providing free travel for women in Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) buses.

Adding a symbolic touch to this endorsement, Nikhat, along with the Chief Minister and ministers, embarked on a TSRTC bus journey from the Assembly to Tank Bund. Appreciating the financial aid, Nikhat expressed her commitment to giving her best in the upcoming Olympics, pledging to bring pride not only to the nation but also to Telangana.

“I will do my best to bring laurels to the country and to Telangana,” affirmed the accomplished boxer from Nizamabad district. She also commended the government’s initiative for free travel in TSRTC buses, emphasizing its positive impact on the empowerment of women. Notably, Nikhat Zareen successfully defended her world title in the IBA Women’s World Boxing Championships 2023.
