A SpiceJet aircraft, which operated a flight from the national capital to Tel Aviv on Sunday, encountered a technical problem after landing in Tel Aviv. The A340 aircraft, part of Operation Ajay launched by the government to aid the return of Indians from Israel amid ongoing conflict, faced the issue upon arrival.
Sources revealed that the technical problem was identified post-landing, prompting the airline to divert the plane to Jordan for necessary repairs. Jordan was chosen due to its proximity and available facilities to address the issue effectively.
While SpiceJet has yet to issue an official statement regarding the incident, the airline’s swift action underlines the importance of ensuring passenger safety and addressing technical glitches promptly.
Operation Ajay has been instrumental in assisting Indians who wish to return from Israel, where intense conflict with the militant group Hamas continues. The government-led initiative aims to facilitate the safe repatriation of Indian citizens amidst challenging circumstances.
