Final Sahih Bukhari Lesson Concludes at Jamia Nizamia

Hyderabad, January 19 (Press Release): The annual final lesson of Sahih Bukhari was held at Jamia Nizamia, reaffirming the significance of Hadith in Islamic teachings. The event was presided over by Maulana Mufti Khalil Ahmad, Amir of Jamia Nizamia, alongside distinguished scholars, including Maulana Dr. Muhammad Saifullah and Maulana Dr. Hafiz Syed Badi-ud-Din Sabri.
Addressing the gathering, Maulana Mufti Khalil Ahmad emphasized that the teachings of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) hold more value to the Companions than their own lives. He highlighted that faith is rooted in revelation, and the Qur’an and Sunnah remain inseparable pillars of Islam. He also reflected on Imam Bukhari’s dedication to preserving authentic traditions, stating that his compilation of Sahih Bukhari in Madinah was a deliberate effort to reflect the environment of the Prophet’s city.
Maulana Dr. Muhammad Saifullah, Sheikh-ul-Jamia, welcomed the attendees and underscored the event’s role in honoring Imam Bukhari and the importance of Hadith in Islam. He encouraged students to embrace contemporary challenges while adhering to their scholarly traditions. He also attributed Jamia Nizamia’s growth and success to divine blessings and the vision of its founder, Imam Muhammad Anwar Allah Farooqi (RA).
Maulana Dr. Hafiz Syed Badi-ud-Din Sabri elaborated on the reverence the Companions had for the Prophet (PBUH), citing instances from Hadith that illustrated their profound devotion. He noted that the Companions prioritized respect for the Prophet over all commands, considering it the highest form of obedience.
Maulana Dr. Mufti Hafiz Syed Zia-ud-Din Naqshbandi, Sheikh-ul-Fiqh and Mufti of Jamia Nizamia, spoke on Imam Bukhari’s jurisprudential approach, emphasizing his reliance on Qur’an and Hadith over personal opinions. He praised Imam Bukhari’s visionary contributions to Islamic scholarship and jurisprudence.
Maulana Hafiz Mufti Syed Sagheer Ahmad Naqshbandi, Sheikh-ul-Hadith of Jamia Nizamia, addressed misconceptions regarding the Hanafi school of thought and Sahih Bukhari. He clarified that the two are not in conflict and urged scholars to work diligently in their pursuit of Hadith knowledge, emphasizing the spiritual blessings it brings.
Maulana Hafiz Mir Latif Ali, Sheikh-ul-Tafseer, highlighted the invaluable contributions of Hadith narrators who have preserved this knowledge for future generations. He commended their dedication and sincerity in safeguarding this rich Islamic heritage.

The ceremony concluded with faculty members being honored by students. The event witnessed a large turnout, including scholars, faculty, students, alumni, and the general public, reflecting the deep-rooted respect for Islamic teachings and scholarship at Jamia Nizamia.
