Station Ghanpur : Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) President Revanth Reddy, addressing a gathering at the Congress Vijaya Bheri Sabha in Station Ghanpur, laid out a comprehensive vision for the region’s development if the Congress assumes power in Telangana. Reddy made significant promises, emphasizing healthcare, education, women’s representation, and agricultural welfare.
During his speech, Reddy committed to initiating two pivotal projects within the first year of the Congress’s tenure — the establishment of a hundred-bed hospital and a degree college in Station Ghanpur. These projects aim to enhance healthcare facilities and educational opportunities in the region.
Taking a swipe at the BRS party, Reddy criticized their purported lack of initiatives for the people of Telangana during their decade-long rule. He pledged to address gender disparity in governance by ensuring four women hold positions in the cabinet if the Congress comes to power, underscoring the party’s commitment to women’s representation.
Reddy also acknowledged the struggles of sarpanchs dealing with pending bills and assured that a Congress government would prioritize addressing these concerns. He lauded Sonia Gandhi for her role in granting statehood to Telangana, despite the anticipated political repercussions in Andhra Pradesh.
The TPCC President underscored the Congress’s dedication to farmers’ welfare, highlighting the Rythu Bharos scheme. Reddy promised assurance for both farmers and tenant farmers, along with a commitment to providing employment guarantee and a monthly wage of Rs. 12,000 for every wage earner. He reminisced about the Congress’s introduction of free electricity for farmers in 2004 and pledged to provide 24-hour quality free electricity if the party regains power.
In a bid to address housing needs, Reddy pledged to provide Rs. 5 lakhs to the poor for constructing houses, reflecting the party’s focus on inclusive development. Revanth Reddy’s ambitious plans signal the Congress’s intent to prioritize the comprehensive development of Station Ghanpur and resonate with the party’s larger commitment to the welfare of the people.
