Watch the Video: – Revanth Reddy Named Telangana Chief Minister in Congress Announcement!

Hyderabad : In a significant development for the Congress party in Telangana, Revanth Reddy has been announced as the leader of the Congress Legislature Party (CLP). The decision, disclosed at the party headquarters on Tuesday by AICC General Secretary K C Venugopal, comes in the wake of the party’s impressive victory in the assembly elections, securing 64 seats in Telangana and surpassing the BRS.
Venugopal revealed that the swearing-in ceremony for Revanth Reddy is scheduled for December 7 in Hyderabad. The decision to appoint Reddy as the CLP leader was reached after considering the reports of observers and discussions with senior leaders.
The Congress Legislature Party in Telangana had previously unanimously empowered the Congress president to make the decision regarding the CLP leader. Four observers, including Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister D K Shivakumar, Deepa Dasmunshi, Ajoy Kumar, and K J George, were appointed by the party for this purpose, in addition to AICC General Secretary in-charge Manikrao Thakre.
During the announcement, both Shivakumar and Thakre were present to convey the decision of the party high command regarding Telangana. However, Venugopal refrained from providing details on the number of ministers to be sworn in or the possibility of any deputy chief ministers, leaving these aspects unanswered in response to media queries. The attention now turns to the swearing-in ceremony on December 7, where Revanth Reddy is poised to assume the role of Chief Minister in Telangana.
