Order Issued: K. Sreenivasa Reddy for Hyderabad, G Sudheer Babu for Rachakonda, and Avinash Mohanthy for Cyberabad as Police Commissioners.

Hyderabad : In a momentous development, the Election Commission (EC) has decided to overturn the suspension of Telangana’s former Director General of Police (DGP), Anjani Kumar. This decision comes after a thorough review of an appeal submitted by the distinguished police official.
Anjani Kumar faced suspension by the EC on December 3, accused of violating the model code of conduct (MCC) by allegedly holding a meeting with Congress candidate A. Revanth Reddy, now the Chief Minister, during the vote counting for the state Assembly elections. The EC had concurrently suspended state police officers Sanjay Kumar Jain and Mahesh M Bhagwat, who were present at the contentious meeting.
Following Anjani Kumar’s suspension, senior IPS officer Ravi Gupta assumed the additional responsibility of the state DGP.
In a cascading series of changes, leadership positions within law enforcement in the Greater Hyderabad area underwent significant reshuffling. K. Srinivas Reddy has been appointed as the new Commissioner of Police for Hyderabad, while Avinash Mohanty assumes the role of Commissioner of Police for Cyberabad, and Sudheer Babu takes charge as Commissioner of Police for Rachakonda.
Simultaneously, Sandeep Shandilya has been appointed as the new Chief of TS_NAB. Additionally, Stephen Ravindra and D S Chowhan have been instructed to report to the Office of the Telangana DGP. Chief Secretary Santhi Kumari issued a Government Order on transfers and postings.
This development follows the Election Commission of India’s earlier order in October, which mandated the transfer of several police officers, including the then Hyderabad Commissioner C. V. Anand. Notably, Sandeep Shandilya assumed the position of Commissioner in the wake of these changes.
