Hyderabad :- In a somber turn of events, the world of journalism and cinema mourns the loss of K Jayadev, a distinguished senior journalist and film director, who passed away in Hyderabad on Monday night due to a heart attack. He was 49.
Recognized for his versatile talents, K Jayadev marked his cinematic debut with ‘Korangi Nunchi’ in 2022, a feature film produced by the National Film Development Corporation (NFDC).
His illustrious career includes receiving prestigious National awards for his impactful documentaries, such as ‘Surabhi,’ ‘Janani,’ ‘Prof CNR Rao – the Man Who Knew the Future,’ and ‘MS Swaminathan – For a Poverty and Hunger-Free World.’
K Jayadev, the younger son of noted senior journalist KNT Sastry, leaves behind his grieving wife and two children. His untimely demise is a profound loss to the realms of journalism and filmmaking, as colleagues and admirers reflect on the rich legacy he leaves behind.
