Hyderabad, – The South Central Railway (SCR) has taken another significant step to enhance the travel experience for rail passengers by introducing a unique concept at an important railway station in the twin cities. In this endeavor, the SCR Secunderabad division inaugurated a ‘Rail Coach Restaurant’ on Monday within the premises of the Necklace Road railway station. This restaurant aims to provide a distinctive dining experience with its innovative ambiance.
This marks the second such coach restaurant in Telangana, following the launch of the “Restaurant on Wheels” at the Kacheguda railway station earlier.
The Necklace Road railway station stands as one of the bustling rail hubs in the suburban network of the twin cities, surrounded by numerous picnic spots. Railway officials note that the station witnesses a significant influx of tourists daily. In a bid to offer an unparalleled dining experience to food enthusiasts in the twin cities, the Necklace Road railway station was selected as the location for this coach restaurant.
For this purpose, an unused coach has been meticulously refurbished with modern and aesthetically pleasing interiors, aiming to provide passengers with a unique dining atmosphere. The management of the “Rail Coach Restaurant” has been entrusted to Boomerang Restaurant, Hyderabad, under a five-year agreement.
Situated in the circulating area of the station, this multi-cuisine restaurant caters to both rail passengers and the general public, offering both dine-in and take-away options. Located in one of Hyderabad’s popular areas, this Coach Restaurant initiative seamlessly blends nostalgia with gastronomy, promising an unforgettable dining experience.
SCR General Manager Arun Kumar Jain encouraged rail users and the general public to make use of this facility and personally experience the innovative step taken by the railways.
