American university officials stress the importance of thorough research and expert guidance for Indian students aspiring to study abroad, emphasizing proper preparation to avoid pitfalls. Mercy University in the USA, in partnership with Oxford International Education Group, offers diverse degree programs and advanced facilities, welcoming applications from India.

Hyderabad : (Media Plus) Indian students aspiring for higher education in the United States and other foreign countries are being urged to prioritize comprehensive research and expert guidance to avoid pitfalls and scams related to higher education abroad. Shilpi Mishra, North America Head for Mercy University, emphasized the importance of thorough preparation during an inauguration event organized by Sanwariya Education Consultants at Hotel Park in Hyderabad.

Mishra interacted with students during a meet and greet session, stressing the significance of streamlining the application process and enhancing proficiency in English language and soft skills before reapplying for higher education. Inadequate groundwork may lead to severe obstacles, including admission denial. Also present at the event were Mr. Andy Burfitt, Global Director of Mercy University, and Sanwariya Edu Consultants CEO Sangeeta Goel.

Mercy University has partnered with Oxford International Education Group to offer digital and English language courses for aspiring students. The university boasts five diverse schools covering Business, Education, Health & Natural Sciences, Liberal Arts, and Social & Behavioral Sciences, offering over 90 undergraduate and graduate degree and certificate programs.

According to Mishra, within three months of their expansion in Hyderabad, Mercy University received over 150 applications. The university, situated in New York and founded in 1950, accommodates 12,000 students from 54 countries worldwide, including nearly 100 students from India across its various schools.

Rajesh Goel, Managing Director of Sanwariya Educational Consultants, highlighted the USA’s status as a prime destination for higher education, attracting a significant number of Indian students and fostering one of the largest Indian student diasporas abroad. Andy Burfitt, Global Sales Director – North America, described Mercy University’s campuses, equipped with state-of-the-art facilities, including Clinical Health and Simulation Labs, design & animation studios, music and recording studios, and a 5,000 square-foot fitness center.

Burfitt emphasized the diverse career prospects available for Indian students at Mercy University, spanning fields such as Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) options. He also mentioned programs like Cyber-Security, which open doors to lucrative careers, with an average salary of $122,000 USD, providing students with promising employment opportunities upon completion of their studies.
