Postponement of DSC 2023 Teacher Recruitment Exam in Hyderabad

The eagerly anticipated District Selection Committee (DSC) 2023 recruitment examination, slated to assess candidates for teacher positions in government and local body schools, has been postponed. Originally scheduled to take place from November 20 to 30, the examination has been rescheduled due to the forthcoming general elections in the State, set to occur on November 30.

The decision to postpone the DSC was made by the School Education department, taking into account the critical context of the state elections. A Sridevasena, the Director of School Education, announced the postponement and assured that the new dates for the recruitment examination will be communicated in due course.

Amidst this development, a staggering 80,000 registrations have already been received for the DSC examination. Prospective candidates have until October 20 to pay the registration fee of Rs.1,000. The application process can be completed online via the official website https://schooledu.telangana.gov.in/ISMS/ until October 21.

In an additional update, the State government has extended the eligibility criteria for the DSC examination. Engineering graduates with allied subjects and a BEd degree in the relevant methodology are now permitted to appear for the DSC examination specifically for the posts of School Assistant – Mathematics and Physical Science.
