“Political Frenzy in Warangal District: Major Parties Gear Up for Electoral Showdown”

Warangal : As the countdown to the upcoming elections in the erstwhile Warangal district intensifies, the political arena is ablaze with activity. Prominent political contenders from the BRS, Congress, and BJP are maneuvering for strategic positions in what promises to be a fiercely competitive and diverse race.

A total of 10 fresh faces have entered the political fray as MLA candidates, marking their debut in the dynamic world of politics. While the ruling BRS has already unveiled candidates for 12 seats, the BJP is anticipated to reveal its contenders for the Parkal and Narsampet seats. The Congress, on the other hand, is yet to announce its candidate for the Dornakal Assembly segment. Presently, 33 candidates from the three major parties are actively canvassing, with three additional candidates slated for imminent announcement.

Among the newcomers, four are affiliated with the Congress, four with the BJP, and two with the BRS, showcasing the parties’ efforts to maintain a balanced and representative lineup. Notable candidates include Naini Rajender Reddy from Warangal West, KR Nagaraju, a former IPS officer, from Wardhannapet, M Yashaswini Reddy, an NRI, from Palakurthy, and Dr. Muralinaik from Mahabubabad, all hailing from the Congress.

The BJP’s emerging stars include Arutla Dashamantha Reddy from Jangaon, R Padma Reddy from Warangal West, Lega Rammohan Reddy from Palakurthy, and Bhukya Sangeetha from Dornakal. From the BRS camp, Bade Nagajyoti, the Mulgu ZP chairperson, and MLC Palla Rajeshwar Reddy from Jangaon are ready to make their mark.

Diversity takes center stage, evident in both caste and gender representation among the candidates. Out of the 33 contenders, 16 hail from upper castes, three from BC category, six from SCs, and seven represent STs. Additionally, eight women have secured nominations, highlighting a positive step towards gender inclusivity in the political sphere.

A detailed breakdown reveals the Congress has nominated one SC candidate, three ST candidates, one BC candidate, and three upper caste candidates. The BJP has fielded five upper caste candidates, two SC candidates, and two ST candidates. Meanwhile, the BRS boasts five upper caste candidates, two BC candidates, two SC candidates, and three ST candidates.
