Hyderabad: In a significant political development, Nawab Mir Najaf Ali Khan, the grandson of H.E.H Nizam VII of Hyderabad and son of Prince Hasham Jah Bahadur, officially joined the Congress party on Sunday. The momentous occasion saw Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge and other party leaders warmly welcoming Nawab Mir Najaf Ali Khan into the party fold, presenting him with a party scarf.
Expressing his sentiments on this occasion, Nawab Mir Najaf Ali Khan stated that the Congress was his natural first choice, given the longstanding association of four generations of the Nizam’s family with the Gandhi family. Notably, he becomes the first nawab from Nizam’s lineage to enter the realm of politics.
