Hyderabad, Jan 3, 2024:– In a significant interception at the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA), Hyderabad customs officials nabbed an individual arriving from Kuwait on January 3, 2024. The authorities successfully recovered a substantial cache of smuggled gold concealed in creative and unexpected ways.

The seized items include two gold pieces concealed within hair cream, four gold bangles coated with rhodium, small loose rhodium-coated gold rings concealed in three multi-colored bead chains, and a bracelet. The total weight of the confiscated gold is 559 grams, with an estimated market value of Rs 33.12 Lakhs.

The Hyderabad customs tweeted about the successful operation and encouraged the public to watch the video detailing the interception. The video sheds light on the meticulous process employed by the customs officials in uncovering the concealed gold.
