New Delhi : In a significant move, Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy and Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka held a crucial meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi on Tuesday. This marked their first meeting with the Prime Minister since the formation of the Congress government in the state earlier this month.

During the meeting, the Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister apprised Prime Minister Modi of the current financial scenario in Telangana. They emphasized the state’s commitment to financial transparency by presenting a white paper on the state’s finances in the Assembly.

In discussions with the Prime Minister, Vikramarka shared with media personnel that they urged Prime Minister Modi to release pending funds crucial for the debt-ridden state. Furthermore, they sought the implementation of commitments outlined in the Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation Act of 2014.

Specifically, both leaders pressed for the establishment of a railway coach factory at Kazipet, in line with the earlier commitment made by the Centre. Additionally, they appealed to the Central Government to grant national project status to the Palamuru-Rangareddy Lift Irrigation Scheme.

This meeting assumes significance as it underscores the state’s efforts to secure financial support and ensure the implementation of committed projects for the welfare and development of Telangana. The outcomes of these discussions are eagerly awaited, as they hold implications for the state’s fiscal health and the realization of key infrastructural initiatives.
