Lulu Group’s Entry Marks a Milestone for Telangana’s Business Landscape

Hyderabad: KT Rama Rao, the Minister for IT and Industries, emphasized Telangana’s commitment to providing exceptional opportunities and a conducive business environment for investors looking to establish their presence in the state. He announced that the renowned Lulu Group has pledged to invest Rs 3,500 crore in Telangana in a phased approach.

Rama Rao marked a significant milestone by inaugurating Telangana’s first Lulu Mall in Kukatpally on Wednesday. He underlined that the inauguration of this mall was just the beginning of a promising partnership, as the Lulu Group has committed to making additional investments in supermarkets, malls, and food processing, including fish processing units, across Telangana.

He stated, “This initiative will not only ensure profitable returns for our farmers but also create valuable employment opportunities for our youth.”

The Lulu Group, known for its operation of over 250 hypermarkets in 25 countries, is now extending its reach to Telangana. While the company has established a strong presence in Dubai and various other nations, its foray into India began with the opening of a mall in Kerala.

Minister Rama Rao highlighted that in response to an invitation from the State government, the Lulu Group has chosen to invest in Telangana, recognizing the state’s status as the leader in “Ease of Doing Business” in the country.

“We are committed to providing them with the best possible experience in India and facilitating opportunities for their expansion. I earnestly request the Lulu Group to consider Telangana as a strategic launching pad for their nationwide expansion,” he concluded.
