Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah Unveils 262 Modern Ambulances in Public Service

Bengaluru: In a significant move towards enhancing healthcare accessibility, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah dedicated 262 state-of-the-art life-saving ambulances during a program at Vidhana Soudha. Emphasizing the government’s commitment to extending quality healthcare, Siddaramaiah stressed the goal of replicating the high standards of services provided by Jayadeva Hospital across all government hospitals. During the event, he urged doctors to treat underprivileged individuals with dignity and highlighted the importance of primary emergency treatment in saving lives.*

Addressing the need for improved diagnostic services, Siddaramaiah expressed the government’s aspiration for every district to have MRI scanning facilities, aiming to alleviate the financial burden on the poor. Recognizing the crucial role of emergency ambulances, he disclosed the provision of 108 such vehicles to ensure prompt medical attention across the state. While commending the efforts of the state government, Siddaramaiah suggested a specific focus on healthcare development in North Karnataka.

The program, presided over by MLA Rizwan Arshad, saw the presence of Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar, Health Minister Dinesh Fundraising, and officials from the Health Department.
