In a remarkable development, the Anti-Human Trafficking Unit (AHTU) under the Warangal Police Commissionerate has successfully rescued a nine-year-old boy who had been missing for an extensive eight-month period. The boy had fled from his home in March, following his mother’s remarriage to an individual from Andhra Pradesh.

The AHTU located the boy begging in Vijayawada and subsequently brought him back to Warangal. In a heartwarming reunion, the boy was handed over to his maternal grandmother by the diligent efforts of P Venkatram, Inspector of AHTU, and Constables S Bhagyalakshmi and Srinivas, all under the watchful eye of ACP B Kishan. This emotional reunion took place on Friday.

The AHTU team’s commendable efforts in rescuing the missing boy have been recognized and praised by Warangal Police Commissioner Ambar Kishore Jha. This rescue marks a significant success in the fight against human trafficking and the safe return of a young child to his family.
