Hyderabad-Dubai Flight Cancelled After ‘Hijack’ Threat at RGIA

In a recent and alarming incident, authorities at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA) in Hyderabad received a threatening email on Sunday evening. The email, originating from an unknown source, contained a claim of a potential hijacker being on board Air India Flight AI951, scheduled for Dubai.

Airport officials wasted no time in responding to this grave threat, which included information about an alleged informant working for Pakistan’s ISI planning to hijack Flight AI951.

Swiftly, airport security apprehended three individuals: Tirupati Badineni, L Vinod Kumar, and P Rakesh Kumar. They were taken into custody immediately for questioning.

As a precautionary measure to ensure the safety of passengers, Flight AI951’s departure to Dubai was canceled. A total of 111 passengers were efficiently transferred to another aircraft.
