Hyderabad Customs achieved a noteworthy success in curbing gold smuggling as they intercepted a female passenger arriving from Dubai on 4th January 2024. This intervention was part of the routine reporting of one to two cases daily. The Customs officials managed to recover three pieces of 24K gold chains during the operation, and the total weight of the seized gold was 526 grams, valued at Rs 34.02 Lakhs. This significant accomplishment took place at RGI Airport, Hyderabad, underscoring the diligence and effectiveness of Hyderabad Customs in thwarting illegal activities.
